Four loops will be constructed on the Bhangel Elevated Road. This will provide relief to over 100,000 residents of Central Noida. The design for the construction of the four loops has been prepared. This design has been sent to the IIT Delhi for approval. After approval, tenders will be invited for the construction of the loops.
For the purpose of providing commuting facilities to over 100,000 residents of Central Noida, four loops will be constructed on the Bhangel Elevated Road. The design for the construction of the four loops has been prepared.
The tender for construction will be floated within 14 days, after which it will be sent to the IIT for approval. General Manager (Civil) A.K. Arora informed that this elevated road, stretching for around 4.5 kilometers, was inaugurated in November.
Where will the loops be constructed?
In order to allow entry and exit, loops will be constructed on both sides of the intersection with Sector-49/107. For those coming from Sector-37 to the 7X sectors, a loop will be constructed to descend near the Hanuman statue. For those coming from the 7X sectors, via Phase 2, to Surajpur, an ascending loop will be constructed. On the other side, a loop will be constructed to allow entry into and exit from Sector-107.
The Bhangel Elevated Road was constructed by Uttar Pradesh Setu Nigam. As per the agreement, this Nigam is also building the road that will run underneath this, which is around five kilometers long. This will be done within three months. The Authority will be building the loops itself.
How much will these loops cost?
The General Manager, A.K. Arora, stated that once they receive approval from IIT, they will put out tenders for this project. The construction of all four loops will be done by one company. Once this project is completed, it will be beneficial.
The cost for building these loops will be around ₹45 crore. The completion of this project will increase the viability of this elevated road, as this 7X sector contains most of the residential societies in this area.
Currently, no loops are available for accessing or exiting this elevated road; hence, the viability of this road is low. Once this project is complete, it is expected that the traffic movement will increase for this elevated road. This will, in turn, increase the viability for the expressway, as congestion will be reduced for this road.
